Job description

Join our dynamic IT team in Riyadh as a Resident Helpdesk Engineer and play a pivotal role in maintaining our customers' IT excellence. This position offers you the unique opportunity to engage in a hybrid on-premise and cloud environment, supporting end-users with diverse technical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary contact for end-users experiencing technical difficulties, providing support via phone, email, or in-person.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware, as well as software and network-related problems.
  3. Efficiently manage user accounts and access in Active Directory and Exchange; oversee system security through diligent patch management and updates.
  4. Support critical Microsoft applications such as Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint, and provide first-level support for Google Cloud Platform services.
  5. Document incidents and resolutions thoroughly in our ITSM tools, collaborating with higher-level support teams for complex issues.
  6. Educate users on IT security best practices and optimal use of applications and systems.
  7. Participate actively in IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
  3. Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies and familiarity with ITSM frameworks.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude.
  5. Fluency in English, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, or CompTIA A+.
  2. Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  3. Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
