Purpose

• Implement and improve the approved Safety Management System and Security Management System.
• Audit all departments against both Safety Management System and Security Management System.
• Investigate all areas of crime resolution and inventory losses in designated stores. Promote and support company shrink reduction programs and resolve internal and external theft. Support investigations as directed by the Safety & Security Manager or carry out investigations independently if deemed necessary.
• Support the Risk Specialist in reducing store shrinkage, and perform functions as identified within the IKEA Loss Prevention and Safety Plan (LPSP).
• Mitigate risks and minimize losses through effective Loss Prevention techniques (KRI's & RCSA) and Safety and Security measures in the store.

Accountabilities

• Maintain the physical security of the store at optimal levels at all times.
• Conduct cyclic inventories in a timely and efficient manner throughout the store.
• Validate and sign off on all cyclic inventories.
• Investigate and report any loss or discrepancies in inventory counts.
• Ensure all Loss Prevention security systems (Intrusion, Panic and Hold-Up alarms, Evacuation System, Communications Systems, Camera Systems, Access Control Systems) are functioning and maintained effectively.
• Support the Store Safety & Security Manager in implementing changes to store safety and security systems to meet standards and operate effectively.
• Assist in implementing response measures after security or safety incidents.
• Perform random spot checks on cashiers via CCTV, observations, and till checks.
• Support the Safety & Security Manager in reducing fraud, protecting assets, and assisting with insurance claims to meet or exceed P&L objectives.
• Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management standards (Group Risk Manual, Safety/Security Operations Manual, LPSP) through regular audits, follow-ups, education, training, and reporting.
• Monitor CCTV equipment.
• Document incidents related to potential liability for IKEA.
• Collaborate with managers and co-workers to foster a safe working environment.
• Conduct internal and external theft and fraud investigations, apprehend as necessary.
• Develop, maintain, and conduct training sessions.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualification

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment or related roles.
