Job Title: Executive – Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE)

Job Purpose:
The HSSE Executive is responsible for creating and promoting a culture of health, safety, security, and environmental compliance across all business operations.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop safe operating procedures accounting for identified hazards.
- Perform site inspections (offices, workshops, showrooms) to ensure policy adherence.
- Document inspection findings and define corrective action plans.
- Promote and educate teams on safe work practices and hazard awareness.
- Facilitate in-house HSSE training programs (e.g., Fire Warden, First Aid, 5S).
- Maintain incident records and compile HSSE dashboards for reporting.
- Advise stakeholders on hazardous substances disposal and environmental safety.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, noise control, machinery safeguarding, and similar regulations.
- Implement Integrated Health, Safety, Security, Environment Management Systems (IHSSEMS).
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, government bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Identify and promote continuous improvement opportunities aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
- Conduct or support emergency drills and preparedness initiatives.
- Act as the main point of contact for all HSSE site audits and inspections.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the continuous development of HSSE processes and culture.
- Support alignment of operations with sustainability and regulatory benchmarks.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor 2 direct reports within the HSSE team.
Product / Process Improvement:
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving existing HSSE processes and standards.
- Recommend improvements in line with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and international HSSE standards.
Communication:
- Internal Contacts: Company employees, Facilities team, Central procurement team.
- External Contacts: Government officials, Vendors, Customers.
Education & Certifications:
- Minimum: Diploma with NEBOSH IGC or IOSH Managing Safely (Level 02/03).
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Safety, or related technical field with NEBOSH certification.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum: 3 years in Safety, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Preferred: 4+ years in a similar HSSE role.
