Role Summary:

We are seeking talented individuals who aspire to advance their careers by working in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Department. Jamjoom Pharma aims for excellence in HSE and seeks candidates with the confidence and experience to excel in this field.

The HSE Executive will facilitate HSE activities across the site, fostering the right behaviors and skills to uphold and improve health, safety, and environmental standards. The role involves assessing risks from site operations and personnel behaviors, and implementing corrective measures to ensure a healthy, accident-free, and sustainable environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees in conducting HSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities, ensuring appropriate precautions are in place.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses to determine causes and corrective actions; develop strategies to prevent recurrence and reduce long-term losses.
  • Stay updated with regulatory legislation and ensure site compliance.
  • Conduct safety and fire drills regularly.
  • Manage inspections and audits from government and regulatory bodies.
  • Support HSE management systems in line with ISO 45001 and 14001 standards.
  • Perform inspections and safety visits to operational and project sites.
  • Promote a safe working environment by demonstrating and supporting best practices.
  • Coordinate with other units to foster teamwork.
  • Encourage a culture of Operational Excellence and ensure OE tools are used regularly.
  • Train staff and enhance their skills related to HSE activities.
  • Assist in designing procedures and safe work systems, maintain MSDS and other HSE documentation.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices.
  • Maintain positive relationships focused on compliance, safety, and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or relevant field).
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Nebosh or OSHA certification.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
