The Head of Talent Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive talent strategies to attract, acquire, retain, and develop top talent. This individual oversees all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, talent development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement to align with the organization’s business goals.
Talent Acquisition
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to meet current and future workforce needs.
- Lead employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a positive candidate experience.
- Build strong pipelines through partnerships with universities, professional associations, and recruitment agencies.
- Utilize data-driven insights and recruitment metrics to optimize hiring strategies.
Talent Management
- Design and implement talent development programs, including leadership development, mentoring, and coaching.
- Lead performance management cycles, ensuring fair and consistent evaluation processes.
- Manage succession planning processes to identify and develop high-potential employees.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify critical roles and skill gaps, and address them through targeted initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Retention
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and regularly measure engagement levels.
- Develop retention strategies based on analytics, feedback, and industry best practices.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across talent strategies and programs.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of recruiters and talent development professionals.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
- Manage departmental budgets and vendor relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in recruitment and talent management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in building and implementing talent strategies at a large or growing organization.
- Strong understanding of performance management, learning & development, and HR analytics.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications
- SHRM-SCP / SPHR or equivalent
- Certifications in talent management or organizational development (e.g., HCI, CIPD)
