A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Head of EQS in the Grid Technologies Services business unit you will lead meaningful projects focused on implementing and enhancing EQS policies, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and quality across the ME Hub. Your work will significantly impact the team, clients, and partners by driving operational excellence and aligning with Siemens Energy’s mission to create a sustainable future, all while promoting a collaborative and proactive team culture.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Define, communicate, and regulate EQS objectives and strategy across the region, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy’s overall goals.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local EQS representatives in ME countries, facilities, and service operators to foster collaboration and support.
  • Ensure that EQS processes are effectively implemented and adhered to within the organization, working closely with partners in the countries and central functions.
  • Supervise and report on the EQS performance of each country in the region, implementing corrective measures in a timely manner to address any issues.
  • Provide tactical guidance, operational support, and EQS consulting to regional and local leadership, management, and employees, enhancing overall EQS performance.
  • Promote Quality & Business Excellence awareness by ensuring training and coaching across functions, while continuously seeking to simplify and improve EQS processes and procedures.


What You Bring

  • A university degree in Engineering or a relevant professional qualification, complemented by substantial experience in EQS management.
  • Over 10 years of proven experience in corporate EQS or a similar environment, with a strong understanding of the dynamics of site work in medium and high voltage substations.
  • Proficiency in English, along with strong analytical, effective communication, and assertiveness skills that facilitate collaboration.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic EQS topics, including EHS injury prevention methodologies, high-risk work activities, and continuous improvement concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of EQS risk management, root cause analysis techniques, auditing, and compliance with ISO standards to strengthen EQS management systems.
  • Relevant EQS certifications, such as NEBOSH and Lean Six Sigma, are highly advantageous and will enhance your qualifications for this role.
