A premier consulting firm in the Middle East is seeking a Head of Compliance to oversee regulatory activities for a well-established insurance client in Jeddah. The role demands strong expertise in Saudi regulatory landscapes and requires fluency in Arabic and English. This position involves ensuring compliance, designing policies, and engaging with regulators. Ideal candidates have 5-7 years of relevant experience and SAMA approval.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in compliance or regulatory roles within insurance or financial services.
• SAMA approval for appointment required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company-wide compliance with SAMA, CMA, GOSI, and other regulatory bodies.
• Design, implement, and monitor compliance policies and action plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and internal audit functions.
• Lead the Anti-Money Laundering and anti-fraud frameworks and monitoring activities.
• Report regularly to the Audit Committee and CEO on compliance efforts and risks.

We are currently seeking a Head of Compliance on behalf of one of our clients in the insurance sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established company in Saudi Arabia, leading all regulatory and compliance activities while working closely with the Audit Committee and executive leadership.

Position: Head of Compliance

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure company-wide compliance with SAMA, CMA, GOSI, and other regulatory bodies
• Design, implement, and monitor compliance policies and action plans
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and internal audit functions
• Lead the Anti-Money Laundering and anti-fraud frameworks and monitoring activities
• Report regularly to the Audit Committee and CEO on compliance efforts and risks
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on operations
• Provide guidance on ethical behavior and potential legal risks
• Support leadership with internal investigations, disciplinary actions, and risk mitigation
• Coordinate with internal departments to deliver compliance training and awareness
• Prepare periodic compliance reports and ensure alignment with internal procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, Insurance, or related field
• Certification in Compliance, IFCE, AML/Anti-Fraud preferred
• 5–7 years of experience in compliance or regulatory roles within insurance or financial services
• SAMA approval for appointment required
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulatory landscape and internal governance
