The GT Controller Engineer is responsible for programming and providing technical support for turbine control and protection systems for gas and steam turbines. This includes executing commissioning activities and conducting functional tests on control cabinets.

Candidates should have an engineering degree or equivalent experience, with expertise in Siemens T3000 automation technology and familiarity with systems like Step7 and WinCC. Experience in automation technology and thermal power plants is also required. Fluency in English is necessary for customer communication. The role involves approximately 80% travel for on-site support, offering an opportunity to contribute to innovative energy solutions in a dynamic environment.

How You’ll Make An Impact

1. Programming of turbine control and protection systems for GT/ST turbines and providing technical clarification on site.
2. Performing and supporting GT/ST commissioning activities, including mechanical activities.
3. Providing technical support during commissioning and on-site support of commissioning.
4. Participating in the further development of the control system for continuous product improvement.
5. Calling out hotline for technical support of customers and occasionally participating in on-call weeks.
6. Carrying out functional tests on control cabinets (FATs).
7. Occasionally conducting customer training.

What You Bring

• An engineering degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a focus on power engineering or automation technology.
• In-depth knowledge of Siemens T3000 automation technology, including T3k Administration, and some familiarity with Siemens automation technologies like Step7 with CFC, WinCC, and PCS7.
• Knowledge of systems such as Siemens TIA Portal, Windows 10+11, and PC hardware technology is desirable.
• Experience in automation technology focused on control systems and continuous processes, with plant experience from commissioning in the thermal power sector preferred.
• Basic knowledge of thermal power plants, especially steam and gas turbine generator sets.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for customer contact.
• Willingness to be on-site approximately 80% of the time and to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%.
