Job Description
The role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ground support equipment (GSE) used in aircraft operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of GSE, including tugs, baggage carts, stairs, and GPUs. You'll develop and implement strategic plans to optimize GSE performance, minimize downtime, and lead a team of technicians to deliver exceptional service

- Develop and implement long-term plans to optimize GSE operations, including budgeting, vendor management, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyse GSE data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability and uptime (e.g., reduced maintenance downtime).
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize risk and promote a safe work environment.
- Identify and troubleshoot GSE equipment issues, leveraging your knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, or other relevant GSE systems (preferred).
- Oversee GSE maintenance schedules, collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Utilize the AMOS system for data input, management, and tracking of GSE tools and equipment locations, leveraging data to optimize decision-making.
- Resolve GSE-related problems effectively and provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively listen to line maintenance requests, collaborate with personnel to understand their needs, and clearly communicate plans and deadlines.
- Develop and implement plans to enhance GSE-related activities airside, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor station allocation and equipment inventory to maintain appropriate tool and equipment stock levels.
- Ensure GSE positioning and parking comply with airport authority regulations.
- Develop a system for tracking equipment and tool calibration/expiry dates, fostering a
- culture of continuous improvement within the GSE team.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar GSE management role, out of which 1 year in management role.
- Good Knowledge and understanding of Airside operation.
- Knowledge of GSE systems (hydraulic, electrical, etc.)
- Operational Planning.
