Job Purpose

The Group Leader, Paint Shop Production is responsible for overseeing all Team Leaders (TLs) and Team Members (TMs) during the assigned shift. This role ensures that all production activities are carried out in compliance with established procedures, safety standards, and operational targets while adhering to the organization’s manufacturing processes within the Paint Shop.

Key Functional Responsibilities.

  1. Monitor and manage team training needs by identifying, planning, and coordinating necessary training to enhance efficiency, enable job rotation, and support individual development.
  2. Implement the company's Manufacturing Systems (CMS) within all team activities, coach team members daily, and address identified training requirements.
  3. Coach Team Leaders to develop effective leadership behaviors that support their teams and promote continuous improvement aligned with SPQRCE (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, Environment).
  4. Assign manpower, materials, and equipment effectively to achieve SPQRCE targets while optimizing resource utilization.
  5. Support in troubleshooting technical or operational malfunctions during production to minimize downtime.
  6. Respond promptly to disruptions or emergencies during the shift to ensure the continuity of production and safety of personnel.
  7. Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to all safety practices and compliance with local regulations.
  8. Organize and coordinate workflows among Team Leaders to ensure smooth shift transitions and optimize productivity by reducing waste.
  9. Ensure understanding and effective implementation of paint shop processes, including paint application, surface preparation, and paint repair techniques.
