WSP in the Middle East is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Saudi National Graduate to join our growing Contracts and Commercial team in Riyadh, KSA. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline), Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
- Strong interest in construction law, commercial management, and contract administration.
- Highly organized, with a strong work ethic, resilience, proactive attitude, initiative, attention to detail, critical thinking, and a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to learn and committed to professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Desirable Skills / Knowledge
- Internship or academic experience in commercial or contract-related work.
- Basic understanding of contract forms such as FIDIC, NEC, or local frameworks.
- Knowledge of KSA construction laws or public procurement guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings with senior team members as part of on-the-job learning.
- Assist in reviewing, preparing, and administering contracts, including main contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
- Support the commercial team in managing budgets, cost tracking, and project forecasting.
- Participate in reviewing variations, claims, and change orders with guidance from senior staff.
- Help maintain accurate project documentation, including contract correspondence and financial records.
- Support procurement processes, including bid evaluation and analysis.
- Assist with monthly valuations, interim payment applications, and final accounts.
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation from contractual and commercial perspectives.
- Learn and implement international and regional contract standards such as FIDIC.
- Participate in project reviews to identify opportunities and risks, ensuring actions are progressed.
- Assist in drafting and managing Intercompany Agreements (ICAs) and related tracking.
- Analyze financial accounts and reports to assess risks and revenue recognition.
- Work with the working capital team to settle disputed or delayed invoices promptly.
- Support the Finance team in updating status comments for global reporting.
- Assist in managing sub-consultant accounts.
