Job description

Join the SJ Group's Graduate Development Program (GDP).

We have exciting opportunities for Electrical Engineering Graduates - Power & Energy for our 2025 GDP intake. Starting within our Electrical (Power & Energy) team and supported by passionate mentors, you will get involved in:

  • Carrying out detailed design work and documentation under supervision
  • Contributing to the delivery of projects
  • Liaising with supervisors, draftspersons, and other specialists on issues relating to the designated tasks and the delivery of designated work on packages and projects
  • Assisting in the preparation of specifications, proposals, and other documents under supervision

As a graduate employee at SJ Group, you will have the opportunity to participate in a quarterly rotation schedule across all business functions, allowing you to experience other aspects of Structural Engineering that may be of interest, as well as gaining an appreciation for other technical components of a multi-disciplinary project.

In addition, you will receive regular training on everything from consulting with clients to managing your time effectively.

About You:

Suitable applicants will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have SCE membership
  • An appreciation of the technical, commercial, financial, and marketing aspects of engineering
  • The ability to complete tasks within time and budget constraints to an acceptable standard
  • Developed knowledge of analytical methods, tools, and principles
  • Great communication skills, work ethic, and professional attitude
  • Able to undertake travel when needed
