We are seeking high-caliber professionals to contribute to delivering innovative and exciting projects. We have a vacancy for a Graduate bridge design engineer to work with our bridge team based in the KSA.

The Bridges skill group sits within the Transportation Business (People & Places) and is committed to delivering major bridge schemes throughout the Middle East. We have an exciting opportunity to join a busy and expanding team of bridge engineers working on a number of high-profile projects, including long-span crossings, international bridges, architecturally led bridge designs, design and build schemes, and local authority commissions.

The bridge team provides technical support for all major projects in the Middle East. The team closely connects with the global delivery center and has a good track record of delivering projects through work sharing. The successful candidate will provide technical design inputs and manage elements of the delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to delivering bridge projects on time, on budget, and to the client’s requirements.
  • Liaison with team members to develop technical solutions.
  • Delivering sound design solutions, including technical ones that meet client requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with management and quality systems at all levels.
  • Produce bridge structure models and calculations under the guidance of Senior Bridge Engineers.
  • Liaison with the BIM team to develop the bridge structural models.

The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:

  • Recognized degree with a specialization in Civil/Structural Engineering. Master’s degree in structure preferred.
  • Knowledge in using software/tools associated with structural modeling (MIDAS, RM, Structural bridge design) and BIM.
  • Good knowledge of KSA Design standards - SHC, MOMRA, Euro codes, DMRB, and AASHTO.
  • Flexibility to undertake short-term assignments in GCC countries would be preferred.
  • A team player with an open and approachable nature who strives to help and inspire others within the team.
  • Tenacity, drive, and determination.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Progressing towards achieving membership/accreditation of an appropriate engineering council or body.
  • Bi-lingual capabilities.
