Job description

Job Title: Governance Consultant

We are looking to strengthen our Governance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing agendas and terms of reference, coordinating pre- and post-meeting documentation, attending meetings, and engaging with and responding to committee Chairs and attendees. Additionally, you will support the Head of Governance in implementing standardized processes and efficiencies across different energy Codes, ensuring an aligned experience for stakeholders.

You will work alongside other Governance Consultants to support Technical Sub-Committees by coordinating meeting papers, drafting detailed minutes, organizing and facilitating meetings, and communicating industry developments. Responsibilities also include preparing papers and slides for meetings, coordinating risk and issue reviews, creating or updating policies, and acting as a quality gatekeeper.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with enthusiasm, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong organizational and communication skills, excellent written skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to manage priorities.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Degree in law or administration
  • Experience in preparing regulations and policies
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with independent chairs of committees, data communications companies, and industry stakeholders to ensure agreement on agendas and clarity of outcomes
  • Proficiency in preparing meeting documents and managing meeting procedures to ensure timely updates
