The Governance & Compliance Senior Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company GRC frameworks. This role ensures the club adheres to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices while enhancing governance structures, Risk Management, and compliance oversight.
Responsibilities:
Policy Development & Governance Frameworks
- Support the development, review, and execution of the club’s policies, ensuring structured approval, compliance, and implementation cycles.
- Ensure policies are aligned with regulatory requirements, governance best practices, and internal club objectives.
- Maintain structured policy governance documentation, tracking approvals, revisions, and compliance adherence.
2. Compliance Monitoring & Internal Controls
- Conduct periodic compliance assessments, ensuring adherence to policies, governance frameworks, and external regulatory obligations.
- Develop and maintain compliance repository and tracking mechanisms, ensuring proactive compliance monitoring.
- Support internal investigations related to compliance breaches, policy violations, and governance concerns, compiling necessary documentation.
3. Governance Documentation & Board Reporting
- Manage the structured archiving of governance-related documents, including Board decisions, committee resolutions, and policy records.
- Maintain an organized repository of club-wide policies, governance frameworks, and compliance reports, ensuring accessibility for stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing governance and compliance reports for senior management, Board committees, and external regulators.
4. Cross-Functional Governance Coordination
- Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Sports, Operations, HR, and Commercial) to embed governance best practices.
- Ensure governance policies and compliance expectations are effectively communicated and implemented across business functions.
- Support training and awareness initiatives, ensuring employees understand governance and compliance requirements.
5. Process Improvement & Change Management
- Monitor the effectiveness of governance policies and compliance processes, recommending improvements as needed.
- Identify gaps in governance structures and support enhancements to governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Assist in developing GRC reporting templates and dashboards, ensuring data-driven governance decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, Governance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Certification in GRC (GRCP, GRCA, ISO37301).
- Certification in Excellence and Quality is preferred (EFQM Assessor, ISO9001 Lead Auditor)
- Minimum of 5 years of governance, compliance, or policy development within a corporate, regulatory, or sports industry setting.
- Proven experience in policy development, compliance monitoring, and governance framework implementation.
- Experience working with Boards, Committees, and regulatory bodies.
- Structured governance documentation and reporting, Data analytics, business reporting, and dashboards creation.
- Familiarity with KSA governance regulations, Ministry of Sports compliance requirements, and corporate governance mandates is highly preferred

- English required (advanced).
