The opportunity

To build your career as a responsible GIS Supervisor, covering all activities/actions required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed, repaired, and faults eliminated. The Supervisor is responsible for the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV, representing HE with technical knowledge at installation sites, adhering to deadlines, and embodying PGHV QA philosophy considering site conditions.

How you’ll make an impact

• Ensure installation work is carried out in perfect technical order.
• Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements, instructions, and safety guidelines, especially on live systems.
• Update red-mark drawings/documents with necessary changes during installation.
• Advise sub-supplier’s installation superintendent on planning and coordination.
• Coordinate with HE Project Manager on work status.
• Inspect arriving materials for damage and coordinate handling.
• Issue non-conformance reports for damages or missing equipment.
• Supervise final installation tests and documentation.
• Coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or high diploma.
• 8+ years of experience with GIS preferred.
• Experience with SF6 GAS-Handling.
• Knowledge of HE-CH GIS products preferred.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
