Job Overview
The KSAB Geozone Security Manager is the subject-matter expert regarding Weatherford’s security management systems and programs within the assigned area. This role ensures all Weatherford security policies, standards, and business practices, in alignment with client contractual security policies, are executed to provide a secure working and living environment for all Weatherford employees, clients, third-party workers (TPW), and any other persons under Weatherford’s duty of care. The KSAB Geozone Security Manager is responsible for implementing and managing departmental strategic objectives across the Geozone. They design and develop operational risk strategies aligned with Weatherford’s security best practices to mitigate risks and achieve both protective and economic advantages for the company. The role supports and reports directly to the MENA and Gulf States Security Manager, ensuring the HSSE plan and security objectives are flawlessly executed throughout the Geozone.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safety and service quality as top priorities across all business areas.
- Exercise ‘Stop Work Authority’ when necessary to suspend operations in case of non-conformance.
- Ensure all activities comply with corporate governance, policies, laws, regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Communicate, implement, and maintain Weatherford security regulations, policies, and standards across operational areas.
- Conduct responsibilities related to the Global Security Risk Area Program (RAP), including Security Risk Management (SRM), Security Risk Assessments (SRA), and Country Security Plans (CSP).
- Perform internal security audits and reviews of all Weatherford locations, including HAZMAT sites, rig sites, base camps, construction sites, staff houses, and personnel accommodations.
- Support the Weatherford Listen Up (Ethics Point) program in investigating sensitive cases in coordination with the Global Head of Security.
- Prepare security components of Weatherford Invitations to Tenders (ITTs), including Security Scope of Work (SoW), RFQs, and security KPIs, in collaboration with Supply Chain, Legal, and Product Line Management.
- Manage security aspects of the Geozone Disruptive Event Management (DEM) Team, Security Emergency Response Plans (SERP), and Security Emergency Evacuation Plans (SEEP) through training and advisement.
- Ensure accurate daily Personnel on Board (POB) reporting systems at all locations.
- Oversee third-party security subcontractors, ensuring compliance with licensing, movement permissions, risk registers, and response plans.
- Provide security guidance for new market entry operations, liaising with Legal, Compliance, Supply Chain, and government agencies.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the Geozone DEM program in collaboration with the Crisis Management & Business Continuity Team.
- Monitor security assets and manpower utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining standards.
- Prepare RFQs and Security Scope of Works, including pricing, in coordination with Supply Chain and Legal teams.
- Authorize security sign-offs based on Site Security Vulnerability Assessments.

Qualifications
- Experience in Oil and Gas, manufacturing, or energy sectors is favorable.
- Previous leadership roles in security.
- Knowledge of document construction and industry auditing standards.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Deep understanding of Security risk management, Physical Security, Personnel Security, and Security investigations.
- University degree or proven leadership as a Security Manager for 5-10 years.
- Formal qualifications in security or risk management (e.g., ILM Risk).
- Specialist security certifications (CPP, PSP, CSMP, etc.) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
