Geotechnical Tendering & Development Manager
Location: KSA
Main Responsibilities:
- Review & Analysis of RFPs:
- Manage the tendering team and oversee clients' RFPs to understand requirements, scope, and project details.
- Identify key technical and commercial risks in tenders and provide mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and company capabilities.
- Provide recommendations to management regarding strategic target proposals and key clients.
- Develop technical and commercial proposals aligning with ACTS’s geotechnical expertise.
- Coordinate with technical teams for feasibility studies, cost estimation, and resource planning.
- Ensure bid submissions are competitive, compliant, and aligned with ACTS’s value proposition.
- Optimize pricing strategies to improve bid competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
- Client Relationship & Market Development:
- Follow up with clients on submitted proposals to foster business relationships.
- Proactively engage with potential clients to introduce ACTS's geotechnical services.
- Conduct presentations and technical discussions to position ACTS as a preferred geotechnical partner.
- Strengthen relationships with designers, consultants, contractors, and government authorities for business growth.
- Market Research & Business Growth:
- Monitor market trends and identify emerging geotechnical service demands.
- Evaluate the feasibility of adding new services or technologies to the geotechnical division in alignment with the company’s growth strategy.
- Identify and analyze competitor activities and market positioning.
- Work with the team on updating and maintaining the status of quotations, bids, and tenders.
- Track proposal success rates, ensuring proper documentation of bid results.
- Implement a systematic approach to tendering, improving response time and accuracy.
- Performance Analysis & Process Improvement:
- Analyze win/loss reasons for proposals and provide recommendations to enhance bid success rates.
- Review past tenders to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and proposal quality.
- Identify internal gaps in the proposal process and suggest process improvements.
- Coordinate with geotechnical engineers, finance, and operations teams to ensure technical and financial feasibility of tenders.
- Prepare periodic reports on tendering activities, success rates, and market insights for management review.
- Participate in strategy meetings to align business development efforts with the company's long-term goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- Demonstrable track record of successful business development and achievement of targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
