Role Description

We are hiring a GIS Expert with over 10 years of professional experience to support our water and wastewater infrastructure projects . The candidate must demonstrate high proficiency in GIS technologies, geospatial analysis, mapping systems, and report generation using advanced software tools.\

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical GIS support for mapping, spatial data analysis, and dashboard reporting.
• Manage, update, and optimize geospatial databases and digital mapping systems.
• Conduct site data collection using GPS and convert field data into actionable GIS datasets.
• Digitize hardcopy maps and drawings; convert between GIS formats.
• Process pipeline and utility data including water mains and pump stations.
• Analyze geospatial data to support design, planning, and decision-making.
• Prepare professional reports, charts, and visualizations to support engineering deliverables.
• Supervise data processing and ensure data integrity and quality control.
• Interface with various departments to ensure consistent data exchange.

Required Programs and Tools:

• ArcGIS (Desktop and Online) – for map creation, spatial analysis, and geodatabase management.
• ESRI Tools – for advanced GIS operations and web mapping applications.
• Dashboards (e.g., Power BI, ArcGIS Dashboards) – for reporting and visualization.
• GPS Tools – for field data collection and geo-referencing.
• AutoCAD / GIS integration tools – for converting and overlaying engineering drawings.
• Geodatabase management tools – for designing and maintaining GIS databases.
• Format conversion tools – for handling different spatial and non-spatial data types.
• Surveying tools – including topographical data collection and trial pit logging.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in GIS applications, preferably in infrastructure or utility sectors.
• Strong background in spatial data management, geospatial analytics, and reporting.
• Experience working with water networks, including mapping pipelines and pump stations.
• Ability to produce high-quality visualizations and reports under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
