Position Overview

Job Details

Compensation: $16.00-18.00/hr

The General Service Technician role involves front and back shop duties, including vehicle repairs, maintenance, and customer service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing vehicle services and repairs per standards
  • Handling tire services such as mounting, balancing, and repairs
  • Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance like oil changes and battery testing
  • Completing courtesy inspections and communicating findings to guests
  • Assisting with inventory and store upkeep
  • Adhering to safety standards and operating equipment safely
  • Driving vehicles for road tests following policies
  • Maintaining technical knowledge through training
  • Supporting guest care and store operations as needed
  • Participating in opening and closing procedures
  • Effectively communicating product and service offerings
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Automotive training or experience in basic maintenance and repair
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report
  • Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program
