JOB TITLE - General Manager- Business Operations

JOB LOCATION - Riyadh

JOB PURPOSE -

The role holder provides leadership to the business functions across campuses in the Middle East region. Responsible for developing and implementing country-specific strategies, policies, and procedures, managing operations, and ensuring alignment with the GSG brand. Reports to the Country Director to achieve organizational business plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -

Leadership

  • Leads and provides direction to all business functions in the country.
  • Designs and executes country priorities and strategies aligned with organizational goals and brand.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are tailored to the country while maintaining group alignment.
  • Manages campus operations and functions within the country.
  • Advises the leadership team on country-specific insights.

Financial Performance

  • Collaborates with the Finance Function and Country Director to develop performance metrics, tracks performance to ensure fiscal control, profitability, and financial viability.

Sales & Admissions

  • Responsible for admissions numbers and enrollment growth, forecasting sales and revenue across campuses.
  • Achieves targets and reviews admission data regularly (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).

Budgeting

  • Establishes annual budgets with the Country Director.
  • Reviews operational and manpower costs for each campus.
  • Discusses budgets with Finance Head and Principals as needed.
  • Seeks approval for budgets from the Country Director & GSF Management.
  • Finalizes budgets based on feedback and approves items outside the budget.

P&L and Approvals

  • Responsible for the P&L statement for the country.
  • Oversees expenses, escalates significant deviations to senior management.

Legal

  • Ensures statutory compliance, quality assurance, and conducts audits.

Operations

  • Supervises Operations and Procurement teams for facilities management.
  • Leads procurement of capital expenditure items.
  • Manages campus operations teams for smooth functioning.

Human Resources

  • Supervises HR strategies, manpower decisions, recruitment, and policy implementation.

Marketing & Sales

  • Ensures admission targets are met.
  • Supervises marketing strategies and guides brand messaging specific to the geography.
  • Oversees offline marketing agencies to tailor messages for the region.

Finance

  • Supervises Financial Controller for budgeting, accounting, cash flow, and compliance.

Projects

  • Collaborates on site selection, project launches, and expansion plans.
  • Supervises HR to develop talent and meet future organizational needs.
  • Leads recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts.
  • Builds and manages high-performing teams with leadership, clarity, training, and career development.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Postgraduate degree with at least 15 to 20 years of relevant experience.
