General Manager – Based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Company

Our client is a global leader in conventional and renewable off-grid power solutions, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable energy systems across diverse sectors. With a growing footprint in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, the company is now expanding its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to meet increasing demand and support long-term strategic growth.

This position reports to the GCC Regional Director and is based in Riyadh, KSA.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership. Lead the establishment and growth of the KSA business, driving expansion initiatives and capitalising on local market opportunities to deliver revenue growth and operational excellence.

- Oversee the full setup of the KSA entity, including legal registration, licensing, commercial contracts, and compliance with local regulations.
- Build foundational infrastructure across operations, IT, finance, and HR in collaboration with regional and group teams.
- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the company’s mission and long-term goals.
- Manage full P&L responsibilities, ensuring profitability and sustainable business practices.
- Lead the setup of operational facilities, including a showroom, warehouse, and service infrastructure.
- Liaise with key government bodies (e.g., MISA, Ministry of Commerce, ZATCA) to ensure regulatory compliance and secure necessary permits and certifications.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing local team across all business functions.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including production, logistics, after-sales service, and procurement.

The Successful Applicant

- Minimum 15 years of senior leadership experience in the power solutions or mechanical/electrical manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record of driving geographical expansion and delivering commercial success.
- Strong experience in the Saudi market; international exposure in power or renewable energy sectors is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and scale operations from the ground up.
- Full P&L ownership and financial management experience.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to global locations.
