About The Role

On behalf of our client, a leading contracting company, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead their steel Structure manufacturing division in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall factory unit business, approval of supplies, finance, stores & sales.
  • Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales (covering relevant areas of operation, manufacturing, distribution, administration, whatever falls within remit according to organization's structure
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development of sales & marketing, and approves of quotations, and contracts.
  • Monitor measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed timescales
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff and workers.
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Communicate and maintain contact with other functional/departmental managers to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes, and achievements.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
  • Developing key performance goals and managing the performance of the staff
  • Creating and implementing strategies for business growth
  • Managing the recruitment, hiring, and training processes
  • Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality offerings to clients
  • Working closely with Finance Department and other senior staff to improve efficiency and performance
  • Improving internal processes for better productivity
  • Overseeing large projects and interpreting performance reports.
  • Managing the budget and monitoring the financial health of a location or business

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven leadership experience in steel manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Strong background in factory operations management, including production, supply chain, and sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Solid understanding of budget control, performance monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience managing large teams across departments and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, HSE regulations, and legal compliance in manufacturing settings.
  • Skilled in cross-functional communication and coordination with finance, HR, and executive leadership.
  • Proven experience in business development, contract approvals, and client relationship management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA is a plus.
