As a Gears Operations Shop Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating all the activities necessary for the startup of this Power Transmission new Repair Shop and managing all operations in the shop, coordinating with the Gears main Services units in France and Texas to ensure repairs are performed to our customers satisfaction in timing, quality and costs.

As a Gears Ops Leader - Saudi Services Shop, you will be responsible for:


  • The whole scope of site activities from coordination of customer’s equipment, through the repair operations, and timely shipment back to customers’ site
  • Leading the site team and managing the execution of the Repairs scope of work.
  • Establishing and maintaining performance metrics to measure repairs / project success.
  • Leading the local team in HSE initiatives and procedures.
  • Benchmarking and applying repair process improvements in the Saudi Repair Shop, including project management, sourcing processes, project reviews, etc.
  • Ensuring that schedule, quality and cost are in compliance with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations.
  • Working close with Gas Technologies Services (GTS) and Equipment (GTE) local teams to perform activities in shared equipment and processes, coordinating schedules and ensuring cost and quality control.
  • Coordinating with Engineering (France and/or US) on technical specifications of the equipment repairs and processes.
  • Managing demands, safety stocks, fulfillment of locally sourced materials needed for repairs, develop long range forecast for region resource needs.
  • Maintaining communications locally with the shared shop teams and remotely with the main Gears sites to ensure quality, schedule, and costs are met for customer’s’ equipment repairs.
  • Handling standardized repair processes, guidelines for choosing the right actions. Processes and procedures are frequently updated by other functions and have to be implemented in the Saudi Repair Shop.
  • Handling diverse clients in a region. Works on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks. Some latitude to deviate from those conditions.


To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Preferably Engineering discipline) (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services, Manufacturing Operations), or oil and gas projects management).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Repairs, Services, Manufacturing (Operations), or oil and gas projects management.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Experience in working closely with customers
  • Be legally authorized to work in Saudi Arabia without company sponsorship or time restriction.
  • Be fluent in Arabic and English
