JOB SUMMARY

Take on the role of a consultant in Gastroenterology at our prestigious hospital, where you will lead the gastroenterology team, provide specialized care for patients with digestive system disorders, drive research initiatives, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, and ensure the implementation of advanced gastroenterology services and protocols.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high-quality gastroenterology consultant care to patients.
  • Offer consultative services as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in your area of expertise and engage in research activities.
  • Contribute to committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Perform special procedures as privileged.
  • Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Graduate from a recognized medical school.
  • Completion of required training in gastroenterology.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as American Board, MRCP, Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand Diplomas, DES, CIS, Italian Diplome di Medico Specialist, Dutch, Swedish, German Facharzt, Austrian Facharzt, UK CCST, Saudi Board, Arab Board & sub-boards, or Fellowship.
  • Membership or Fellowship in America and/or Europe or their equivalents, meeting the criteria for a consultant.
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is mandatory.
  • Dataflow verification is mandatory.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3-4 years post-Board/Fellowship experience in gastroenterology.
  • Registered member of the Saudi Board Council.

Language

  • Proficiency in English; proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
