Job Purpose:
The role holder is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities, including startups, partnerships, and divestments, to drive growth and value creation for stc and support the national innovation agenda. Investments will typically be minority investments in ventures that fall into relevant sectors of interest to stc. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Deal flow screening and execution according to Corporate Fund governance model.
2. Secure high-quality startup deal flow investment opportunities for the fund.
3. Analyze financial statements, forecasts, and funding requirements of each potential startup.
4. Perform all required due diligence, valuations, and investment thesis documentation.
5. Obtain all required approvals from the investment committee.
6. Lead and analyze proposed investment opportunities and provide advisory recommendations to the Fund Investment Committee and GCEO.
7. Ensure compliance with the Fund’s Governance Model.
8. Manage (Lead/co-invest/Exit) investment rounds.
9. Assist startups in strategy, business plan development, market analysis, and build mentoring relationships through the mentor pool.
10. Provide executional support to startups in their go-to-market strategy, identifying all growth targets through the commercial track program.
11. Help startups monetize/integrate opportunities with stc group and/or subsidiaries.
12. Support the development of internal requirements for startup integration with stc in collaboration with BUs and FUs.
13. Ensure compliance with fund management governance model.
14. Issue quarterly/annual Fund financial statements and performance reports in coordination with the Finance Unit.
15. Manage portfolio risk profile in line with stc group investment strategy and utilize expertise to make generally accepted recommendations.
16. Provide required support for drawdowns, Internal Audit observations, and risk mitigation.

Years of Experience:
5 and above

Nature of Experience:
Prior experience in Venture Capital/Investment Banks in the investment-related industry; prior experience in Business Development, Corporate Research, Planning, or Strategy in a telecom industry.
