Job Purpose

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel in a safe training environment on how to operate their aircraft, equipment, and weapons. This role is responsible for performing and supervising all aircraft maintenance, components, and bay support activities related to the Engine, Propeller, and Fuel Systems. It also includes providing On the Job Training (OJT) and conducting production inspections. The technician will troubleshoot, inspect, remove, install, repair, modify, and operate all Engine, Propeller, and Fuel aircraft systems, components, and associated support and test equipment.

Job Accountabilities
  1. Ensure operationally capable aircraft support KFAA pilot training programs through servicing, fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems/components, and other related aircraft system maintenance at the intermediate level.
  2. Support KFAA mission and aircraft servicing programs by servicing, fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, inspections/evaluations of workshop support equipment at the intermediate level.
  3. Provide technical support in evaluating, interpreting, and determining corrective actions, as well as assessing the performance and operational status of specialty aircraft systems, components, and test/support equipment.
  4. Deliver informal and formal OJT to RSAF and BAE Systems Saudi National personnel to enable RSAF or civilian Saudisation of PC9/PC21 intermediate maintenance operations.
  5. Obtain and maintain necessary certifications to support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions.
  6. Develop expertise and become familiar with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking system – MIRO Gold.
  7. Understand and adhere to the RSAF FOD and Safety Programmes.
Recruitment Specification
  • Graduate from a military service, recognized civilian aircraft technical training institute, or equivalent.
  • Possess extensive experience or be graduating from recognized technical training provided by the Royal Saudi Air Force, BAE Systems, or other recognized civilian organizations.
  • Completed PC9 / PC21 Aircraft Systems Training courses or equivalent appropriate to the specialty.

  • RSAF recognized Technical Training Schemes.
