The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation project in Jeddah, the Fuel Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design review, coordination, and implementation of fuel systems infrastructure within the airport development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate fuel system designs including storage tanks, hydrant fueling systems, fuel farms, and associated infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., NFPA, API, JIG, IATA) and local regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and integration of fuel systems with other airport utilities and facilities.
  • Provide technical input during design workshops, coordination meetings, and value engineering sessions.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3–5 years on airport or large-scale infrastructure projects involving fuel systems.
  • Proven experience with aviation fuel systems design, review, and implementation.

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft fueling systems, fuel farm operations, hydrant distribution systems, and fuel safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with international fuel design and safety standards (e.g., API, NFPA 407, JIG guidelines, IATA).
  • Strong technical review, report writing, and coordination skills.
