Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Support the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Other Training Devices: Attend maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, demos, assist during Simulator Flight Tests, support snag clearance activities, etc.
2. Independently perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs), Daily Readiness (DR), Recurrent QTG runs, Aircraft Database (ADB) updates, and IOS Lesson Plan (LP) updates on training devices and associated systems. Keep records updated and address deficiencies.
3. Maintain, track, and request consumables and tools required for maintenance tasks.
4. Perform troubleshooting of training device issues using schematics and documentation. Monitor updates on SimHub/Simissues and use the Computerized Maintenance Management System to record and track activities.
5. Manage roles such as Device Caretaker, Task Caretaker, or Lead for Training Devices, including creating and updating procedures.
6. Participate in On the Job Training (OJT) of FSTD Support Apprentices and support complex maintenance tasks, consulting senior colleagues or specialists as needed.
7. Support logistics activities like inventories, store re-arrangement, packing, shipping, and perform administrative functions.
8. Comply with environmental health and safety standards, ensuring safe work practices and duty of care.
