- Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to move goods around the warehouse and production areas.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers as per safety and company guidelines.
- Stack and store goods in the designated areas to optimize space utilization.
- Transport raw materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage or dispatch areas.
- Conduct daily forklift equipment checks and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the forklift operating zones.
- Support warehouse team with manual tasks when not operating the forklift
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator license/certification (as per local regulatory requirements).
- Minimum 23 years of experience in forklift operation in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in the packaging or plastics industry.
- Good understanding of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to material handling.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping and inventory documents.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when needed.
- Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding role involving movement across warehouse/production areas.
- May require shift work, weekend availability, or overtime depending on operational needs.
- Exposure to a warehouse environment with temperature variations and machinery noise.
