Job Purpose

Overseeing and coordinating the final stages of construction, focusing on the finishing touches that give the villa its final look and functionality. Supervising all the activities related to the interior and exterior finishes, including plastering, painting, flooring, tiling, carpentry, and the installation of fixtures and fittings. Ensure that the work is completed according to design specifications, quality standards, and within the project timeline.

Key Accountability Areas

Supervision and Coordination:

  • Oversee all on-site finishing work, including plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, carpentry, and fixture installation.
  • Supervise and manage trades teams, ensuring efficient, high-standard, and timely work.
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure finishing work is sequenced correctly and does not conflict with other activities.
  • Ensure finishing tasks align with architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

Material Management:

  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of finishing materials, ensuring specifications and availability.
  • Monitor material usage to minimize waste and ensure sufficient stock levels.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials on-site.

Scheduling and Time Management:

  • Develop and manage the finishing work schedule to ensure on-time completion.
  • Communicate with the project manager and teams to resolve delays or obstacles.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Regularly update the project manager and team on progress and challenges.
  • Report issues such as delays, material shortages, or quality concerns, suggesting solutions.
  • Keep accurate records of work, workforce hours, and material usage.

Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:

  • Identify and resolve quality or installation issues in finishing works.
  • Provide solutions for site-specific challenges to maintain the project schedule.

Final Inspections and Handover:

  • Ensure high-quality finishing and assist with final inspections before client handover.
  • Manage snagging and address any punch list items before project completion.
Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Training subordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
  • Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
  • Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification: Diploma Degree in Any relevant field

Work Experience: 4 to 6 Years
