Job Summary

The Foreman supervises and coordinates overall work activities on-site, collaborating with the site general foreman, chargehands, and labor team members to ensure smooth task execution throughout the project duration. The role involves supervising several skilled teams to maximize productivity, minimize costs, and maintain high quality standards, all while ensuring safety compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supervise activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
  2. Manage crews by assigning tasks and providing guidance and support to workers.
  3. Monitor progress and productivity, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
  4. Enforce safety regulations and foster a safety-first culture among crew members to prevent accidents and injuries.
  5. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  6. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met and workmanship is of the highest quality.
  7. Resolve conflicts or disputes among crew members and address performance issues effectively.
  8. Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and incidents or accidents.
  9. Participate in planning meetings, providing input on schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
  10. Serve as a communication link between project management and crews, conveying updates, changes, and expectations clearly.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of construction methods, techniques, and materials to oversee activities and ensure compliance.
  • Ability to lead and motivate construction crews, delegate tasks, and provide clear direction.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying instructions, feedback, and resolving conflicts.
  • Problem-solving capacity to identify issues and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, with functional skills relevant to the role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 years of working experience, including 3 years of relevant experience; GCC experience is a plus.
