Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develops, implements, manages, and tracks the effectiveness of an integrated program, including systems, standards, procedures, measures, and tools to ensure that food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory requirements are met for food products and operations.
  2. Develops and delivers effective communications that provide partners at all levels with appropriate awareness and knowledge of quality assurance standards, program updates, and process changes.
  3. Leads the Food Safety and HACCP team at the respective site.
  4. Interacts regularly with engineering, manufacturing, and service functions to establish and define quality assurance standards, including manufacturing, sanitation, pest control, and disposition of ingredients or finished products.
  5. Represents quality assurance on enterprise-wide cross-functional teams.
  6. Stays up-to-date and builds expertise in food safety best practices, public health regulations, and industry standards.
  7. Establishes, monitors, and maintains a quality assurance and quality control system.
  8. Conducts statistical analyses of food safety and quality data to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Develops and coaches Quality Assurance staff through proper training, counseling, and guidance to ensure consistent interpretation and application of standards and procedures.
Qualifications

Licensing or Certifications: HACCP, SQF, GFSI, RM, FSSC22000, PCQI, FDA, FSQA, GMP, FSMA

Education: Bachelor's and master's degrees in Science, Education, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, Technical fields, Management, Business, Biology, or Technology.

Skills: Food Safety, HACCP, Manufacturing Processes, Quality & Food Safety, Food Microbiology, USDA regulations, Food Laws & Regulations, CFIA, GMP, FDA standards, and applicable regulations.
