Job Title: Food Inspector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Food Inspector to oversee and ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science and significant hands-on experience in food inspection, particularly in industrial or public health settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of food processing and handling facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
  • Monitor hygiene, sanitation, food labeling, and storage conditions.
  • Identify violations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of inspection findings.
  • Educate staff and facility operators on food safety best practices.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities and internal teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
  • Food Science
  • Agriculture
  • Microbiology
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Public Health
  • Environmental Health
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in food inspection, preferably on projects with high regulatory standards.
  • Experience in food processing, quality control, or public health inspections.
  • 1–5 years of direct experience as a food inspector.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
  • ISO 22000
  • CFS (Certified Food Scientist) or CP-FS (Certified Professional – Food Safety)
