Job Title: Food Factory Manager

Job Summary:

The Food Factory Manager will lead the operations of a food production facility specializing in jams, dried fruits, and sesame-based products. The factory is part of a community-driven initiative aimed at supporting and empowering local farmers and home-based producers. The ideal candidate will not only ensure operational excellence and food safety compliance but will also bring a creative and development-oriented mindset to drive innovation and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of production lines with a focus on quality, hygiene, and safety standards.

• Manage supply chain activities including sourcing raw materials from local farmers.

• Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including project beneficiaries (home-based producers and small-scale farmers).

• Design and implement entrepreneurship and skills training programs in coordination with development partners.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO).

• Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in the factory.

• Prepare and analyze production reports, and recommend improvements.

• Engage with government entities, suppliers, and local communities to support sustainable development goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of +5 years of experience in food production or factory management.

• Excellent command of both Arabic and English, written and spoken.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and inspire diverse teams.

• Creative thinker with a proactive, problem-solving approach and a passion for community development.

• Prior experience in development projects or working with local producers is a plus.
