JOB PURPOSE
The FM Services Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of all facilities within the KAIA aerodrome. You will lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians, overseeing their work to maintain the airfield infrastructure safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise engineers and technicians responsible for airfield facilities maintenance.
- Ensure team members are trained, equipped, and qualified to perform their tasks safely and effectively.
- Develop a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee the implementation of the facilities management program for KAIA aerodrome.
- Manage maintenance of pavements, drainage, signage, lighting, buildings, security features, and grounds.
- Ensure all activities comply with international standards (ICAO Annex 14, EASA, FAA, GACAR 139) and KAIA SOPs.
- Schedule and prioritize tasks to optimize efficiency and minimize disruption.
- Coordinate with stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and issues.
- Quality Control and Inspections:
- Conduct regular inspections to identify issues or maintenance needs.
- Ensure work meets quality standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and tests.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders about facilities management.
- Prepare reports on maintenance, inspections, and test results.
- Identify trends and propose solutions for potential problems.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage spare parts, tools, and equipment inventory.
- Ensure materials are available and in good condition.
- Implement cost-effective inventory practices.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Report safety incidents or hazards immediately.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management or airfield maintenance.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of international standards for airfield maintenance (ICAO Annex 14, EASA, FAA, GACAR 139).
- Understanding of airfield systems: pavements, drainage, lighting, signage, security, and building maintenance.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CAFM systems knowledge is a plus.
- Valid Saudi driver's license required.
Experience
- Experience in a fast-paced airport environment is preferred.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
