Job Description
  1. Clean and maintain areas of responsibility according to set standards and procedures.
  2. Create visually appealing flower arrangements for hotel daily requirements.
  3. Provide specialized design and floral expertise to plan, design and create floral arrangements for all events in the hotel (e.g., weddings, functions, etc.).
  4. Prepare bouquets for guests, lobby centerpieces, and other flower arrangements as per request or memo from both housekeeping and other departments.
  5. Ensure that all designs meet hotel standards and meet or exceed guests' expectations.
  6. Ensure that all floral arrangements are within the allocated budget and deadlines are met for both hotel requirements and guest orders.
  7. Ensure proper communication of project status, timelines, and delivery information to guests, bookers, organizers, and other departments.
  8. All floral orders are updated on the register or sheets and appropriate sign-off to be taken from guests or other departments.
  9. Billing/voucher to be done for all guest orders, events, and charges to be posted to the appropriate guest or banquet folio.
  10. Responsible for creating new floral recipes or floral designs.
  11. Responsible for ordering flowers, floral products, and monitoring their arrivals with the vendors.
  12. Responsible for monitoring par stocks and making required requisitions.
  13. Responsible for sorting, organizing, cleaning, and restocking all supplies.
  14. Ensure good relations with internal departments, clients, and vendors to resolve issues.
  15. Comply with hotel’s health, safety, and hygiene policies.
  16. Adhere to personnel grooming and hygiene standards.
  17. Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
  18. Take part in the Employee Engagement Survey to express areas for improvement.
  19. Perform any other related duties assigned to him/her by the management.
Qualifications
  1. Good organizational skills and self-discipline.
  2. Good level of engagement with guests.
  3. Exemplary personal hygiene.
  4. Previous experience in Housekeeping Operations is an asset.
  5. Proficient knowledge of English (written & oral) is an asset.
