Job description

Position Title:

Flight Mechanic

Job Grade:

Job Description:

Objective:

To provide in-flight technical support and maintenance oversight by performing pre-departure checks, addressing in-transit technical issues, and managing post-landing and turnaround maintenance activities at stations without contracted maintenance providers. The Flight Mechanic ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with GACA regulations and flyadeal’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough pre-departure inspections to ensure aircraft readiness.
  • Accompany aircraft on flights as assigned to provide technical support.
  • Address and troubleshoot technical issues during transit to ensure safe operation.
  • Conduct post-landing inspections and document any discrepancies or defects.
  • Carry out turnaround maintenance activities at outstations with no maintenance provider coverage.
  • Communicate effectively with flight crew and maintenance control for technical coordination.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance actions in accordance with GMM and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold all safety, quality, and operational procedures as per GACA and company requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid GACA Aircraft Maintenance License (A&P or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in line maintenance or field maintenance, preferably with A320 family aircraft.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, MEL procedures, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in remote or unsupported stations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technical English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work irregular hours as part of a mobile maintenance team.
