Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator/Fitter.
• Solid skills in blueprint interpretation from previous experience.
• Certification in Fabrication is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Reviews layouts, blueprints, diagrams or work orders in preparation for fabricating metal components.
• Checks the correct stencil of the fabricated members.
• Fabricates materials based on the Engineering Drawings Specifications and on the company s standards and requirements.
• Records the daily output for timely submission to the immediate head s (Accomplishment report).
• Delivers the daily output as assigned and maintains the productivity in terms of MT/QTY on his skid/shift.
• Practices properly the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, face masks and the like while inside the shop-floor.
• Checks safe surroundings and act on any unsafe activity seen.
• Practices 5 S in their work place.
• Strictly follows the Engineering drawings to ensure that Fit up of product is being done within the company s standard and as per the released drawing.
• Clarifies with the immediate head any unclear instructions or details in the Engineering Drawings to avoid repetition of work and reduce the Non-Conformance in the final product.
• Visually checks and ensures correct stencil on the Built-up member and fixes the color code sticker on the members as per the requirement mentioned in the drawing.
• Utilizes the given consumables at its best and reduces the scrap to minimize the daily consumption.
• Ensures daily maintenance and periodic cleaning of the equipment and machineries.

• Minimum of 5 years work experience as Structural Steel Fabricator/fitter in any Steel Fabrication company and must have solid blueprint interpretation skills drawn out from experience. required sound knowledge in reading and understanding of various structural & PEB fabrication drawings, / fabrication procedures/ should know cutting/beveling/grinding/tack welding/ holes dia & gauge/ basic knowledge about 5s
