Fircroft is hiring a Fired Equipment Engineer to provide engineering support for the maintenance, reliability, and operation of fired equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for the maintenance, reliability, and operation of fired equipment.
- Conduct training sessions for operators, engineers, and technicians to enhance understanding of system reliability and proper operation of fired equipment.
- Participate in site safety and reliability audits, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and adherence to safety principles.
- Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting support for fired equipment engineering activities, ensuring compliance with company requirements.
- Evaluate vendors, proposals, designs, and documentation for sound engineering practices and recommend approvals or disapprovals.
- Participate in fit-for-service evaluations of new and repaired fired equipment.
- Review the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program for maintenance goal alignment.
- Provide engineering support to project teams for proposals, cost estimates, and construction.
- Develop, review, and maintain engineering specifications and standards, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Create and maintain standards, procedures, and best practices for fired equipment engineering.
- Prepare technical specifications for fired equipment and ensure adherence to design standards and requirements.
- Support the Operations, Maintenance & Engineering (OME) team in maintaining facility integrity through failure-performance analysis and restoration procedures.
- Evaluate all engineering aspects of fired equipment to meet project objectives related to safety, accuracy, budget, and operability.
- Collaborate with relevant organizations to assess the lifespan of fired equipment components and utilize reliability tools to extend usage.
- Define spare part requirements for fired equipment, employing risk-based maintenance tools and conducting regular audits.
- Perform additional job-related activities as requested by the supervisor/manager.
Skills
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Qualifications:
- Experience with capital projects and troubleshooting of fired equipment.
- Familiarity with fired heaters, furnaces, boilers, and flares.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards for fired equipment.
