Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Fire and Life Safety Engineer to join our team at King Salman International Airport (KSIA). In this role, you will design, implement, and manage fire protection and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, enhancing safety, and mitigating risks in buildings and infrastructure projects.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Design and develop fire protection and life safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, smoke control, emergency lighting, and evacuation systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international fire safety codes, regulations, and standards across all projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to integrate fire safety systems into building designs.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and hazard analyses to determine appropriate safety measures and fire protection strategies.
• Prepare detailed design documents, including system layouts, specifications, and calculations.
• Review and approve fire safety designs to meet project requirements and safety standards.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems, ensuring functionality and safety.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, contractors, and clients on fire safety design and best practices.
• Perform site inspections to verify proper installation and compliance.
• Stay updated on fire protection technologies, codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Perform other related duties in fire safety design, risk management, and project coordination.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in fire protection and life safety engineering.
• Professional certification or licensure (e.g., PE, CFPS) preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in fire safety design software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM) and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct fire risk assessments and develop safety strategies.
• Experience in project management and system implementation.
