Job Overview

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across the group. The role ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards (including IFRS), internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The role demands a proactive and analytical individual who can lead a reporting team, manage audits, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of financial integrity and risk control.

Key Responsibilities

Policies & Procedures

  • Ensure implementation, maintenance, and adherence to group financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial reporting and implement enhancements.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Manage preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Review financial results and trends, providing analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate intercompany reconciliations and ensure alignment with group entities.
  • Collaborate with departments such as tax, legal, and treasury for integrated reporting compliance.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and implement required updates.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance policies and coordinate renewals and claims management.
  • Manage reporting and compliance related to Zakat, VAT, and withholding tax.
  • Ensure documentation and recordkeeping meets regulatory and audit standards.

Audit Management

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring the audit process runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Address and close audit observations and ensure the implementation of corrective actions.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of financial reporting accountants.
  • Establish clear objectives and monitor performance to ensure continuous improvement.

Ad-Hoc Projects

  • Support the Financial Controller with special projects and strategic financial analysis as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA, CPA, or ACCA certification (mandatory)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and consolidation, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong experience with IFRS and local tax/zakat regulations
  • Proven ability to manage audits and financial compliance in a group setting
  • ERP proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
