Job description

This is a start-up project to open pilot convenience stores in Riyadh. In the financial Controller role, you will be responsible for budget management, payroll, financial analysis, revenue & expense forecasting, accounts payable & accounts receivable and all associated financial reporting. You will work closely on all financial matters with company management and partner company finance department. This role highly demands a hands-on approach during preparation for pilot stores.

Objectives of this role:

  • Develop and maintain financial controls for all company business operations
  • Monitor company financial performance
  • Analyze company spend and make sure aligned with final budget
  • Create and enforce company expense policies and SOP's
  • Manage preparation for company payroll
  • Develop financial reports and deliver company metrics for senior management and board members
  • Ensure all financial processes meet regulatory and compliance guidelines and standards
  • Build an effective communication and collaboration with partner company finance team

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years hands on accounting experience, preferably from Big 4 and with commercial experience gained in sizable companies
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll procedures
  • Experience with financial data analysis and reporting
  • Proven ability to create financial reports and presentations
  • Expertise in spreadsheets and financial accounting software
  • Deep understanding of KSA tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Strong quantitative and analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field. MBA a plus.
