Job description

Reports to: Finance director / (CFO)

Position Overview

The Financial Controller (FC) is a pivotal member of the Company’s executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO. The FC ensures strong financial control, governance, and compliance across the Group, while supporting the CFO in financial planning and analysis. The FC will also play a key role in establishing financial standardsand reviewing internal control frameworksto safeguard financial integrity. This role requires a commercially minded leader with expertise in FP&A, stakeholder engagement, and internal control management, driving transparency and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Financial Planning

  • Support the CFO in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
  • Provide accurate financial insights and risk assessments to enable strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in aligning budgets and capital allocation with business priorities.

Financial Performance Management

  • Support in establishing standardized financial reporting frameworks and benchmarks across the Group.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of subsidiaries and Group-level results.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and margin improvement.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
  • Ensure timely audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.

Governance, Compliance & Control

  • Support in establishing financial standards and reviewing internal control frameworksacross the Group.
  • Strengthen financial policies, audit processes, and risk management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Enhance ERP and reporting systems for greater accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a finance partner to internal stakeholders and business units.
  • Support the CFO in managing external stakeholders including auditors, regulators, banks, and tax authorities.
  • Provide clear, reliable, bilingual reporting to enable effective communication.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and develop finance teams to build financial planning and control capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
  • Professional certifications: CMA, FMVA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • 10–15 years of senior finance experience (Financial Controller, FP&A, or equivalent).
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, IFRS, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
  • ERP and advanced reporting systems experience.
  • Personal qualities: Integrity, Accountability, Leadership, Analytical Mindset, and Stakeholder Engagement.

Language Requirement (Mandatory)

  • Excellent command of both Arabic and English (spoken and written)to prepare bilingual reports and engage effectively with stakeholders.
