The Client:

Our client is a well-established player in the automotive industry based in Jeddah, with a growing footprint in lubricants, chemicals, and related sectors. They are looking to appoint a seasoned Finance Director to drive financial excellence and ensure robust governance across the business.

The Role:

As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for leading all financial operations, planning, budgeting, risk management, and compliance. You will work closely with the executive leadership to support business strategy and ensure financial health. This role requires a strong understanding of the automotive and industrial sectors, particularly in lubricants and chemicals.

  • Leading the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Providing strategic financial insights to support key decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, tax, and audit requirements in Saudi Arabia.
  • Partnering with other departments to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Implementing internal controls, improving processes, and ensuring transparency across all financial operations.
  • Managing banking relationships and overseeing funding requirements.
  • Leading a high-performing finance team and building financial capability across the organization.
  • Supporting M&A initiatives and investment evaluations when required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, preferably within the automotive, lubricants, or chemicals sector.
  • Must have worked in Saudi Arabia and have an in-depth understanding of local financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Arabic fluency is mandatory.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead financial transformation and optimize systems and processes.
  • Experience in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • As per Saudi government initiatives, locals are preferred on this role.
