Fircroft is seeking a qualified Finance Director to oversee financial operations and strategic planning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of business plans and budgets for the company and its associates.
- Ensure alignment with corporate strategy and direction.
- Manage investment requirements and provide financial assessments for new ventures.
- Offer financial and operational advice to optimize resources.
- Define and oversee financial strategy, including treasury, planning, and investments.
- Direct operational and investment plans to ensure liquidity while minimizing interest expenses.
- Negotiate and optimize bank facilities based on company needs.
- Analyze external influences (interest rates, competition, etc.) to advise management on performance optimization.
- Design and implement a profit center for foreign exchange optimization.
- Assist in selecting an audit firm to ensure timely and high-quality audits.
- Develop departmental policies and processes for operational excellence.
- Approve the design of the common chart of accounts.
- Build and maintain a financial system covering accounting, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Direct budgeting, risk mitigation, and reconciliation processes across departments.
- Provide leadership and support to Finance & Accounting employees to ensure effective workflows.
- Assess business processes for compliance with international standards.
- Provide financial support to all departments.
- Review sales invoicing, collections, and credit control processes.
- Implement an internal auditing process to detect and resolve potential fraud.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with HR for staffing and resources in Finance & Accounting.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews of the Finance team.
- Prepare projected cash flow statements and manage banking facility requirements.
- Set and monitor KPIs annually for financial activities.
- Conduct performance appraisals for the finance and accounting teams, managing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Perform monthly variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage receivables, payables, and inventory to optimize working capital.
- Develop policies for Fixed Asset Management including tracking and disposal.
- Review employee expense claims and implement relevant policies.
- Coach the Finance team to enhance skills and address business needs.
- Handle any other tasks assigned by the CFO.
