Job description

The purpose of the Finance Assistant role is to support the Finance Department in delivering effective and efficient financial services across the school. The Finance Assistant will assist with day-to-day financial administration, ensuring compliance with school policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration

  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Assist with processing staff expense claims and petty cash.
  • Monitor and record incoming payments, including school fees, trip payments, and donations.

Payroll Support

  • Assist with gathering and verifying payroll data (e.g., attendance records, leave forms).
  • Liaise with HR and payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Budget Monitoring

  • Support the Finance Manager in tracking departmental budgets and expenditures.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate financial records, both digital and hard copy, in accordance with school policy and audit requirements.
  • Support annual audits and financial reporting processes.

Communication & Liaison

  • Respond to queries from staff, suppliers, and parents regarding financial matters.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, service providers, and banks when required.

General Duties

  • Support school events and fundraising activities by providing financial oversight and support.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel data.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Finance Manager or School Leadership Team.

  • To fulfil any reasonable additional responsibilities as requested by the Principal.
  • To support cross-site at our partner school King’s College Riyadh as requested by the Principal.

The post is subject to applicants providing a satisfactory Police Clearance Certificate from their home country, that is less than 6 months old and a police clearance from every country in which the applicant has worked in before as per the new safe-guarding policy.
