Job Purpose:

This role involves dealing with technical queries from hospitals and customers, performing service tasks such as installations, preventive maintenance (PPM), and breakdown repairs. The technician will train customers on the proper usage of our machines, report activities to managers, and update SAP accordingly. Building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives to ensure customer satisfaction is essential.

Key Accountabilities:

Operational

• Submit bi-weekly reports on all job activities performed or as needed.
• Provide technical servicing, support, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment at client sites.
• Repair medical equipment during breakdown calls.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with manufacturer standards.
• Improve service levels, performance, and productivity.
• Follow work procedures according to ISO requirements.
• Monitor spare parts stock for equipment under responsibility.
• Manage upgrades (software/hardware) and recalls for equipment under responsibility.
• Demonstrate and train hospital biomedical engineers on basic technical aspects of medical equipment.
• Install and service radiology equipment.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various medical and radiology equipment.
• Attend service calls in diagnostic centers and hospitals.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding the status of commissioning and daily operations.
• Determine tools and equipment required for tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist in establishing preventive maintenance schedules with customers.
• Assemble, align, and install equipment as necessary.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and controls to guarantee employee safety, legal compliance, and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or a technical college certificate with relevant certification (e.g., ESCO product certification).

Minimum Experience:

At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with laboratory equipment, specifically ESCO, CENTURION, SARTORIUS, SIGMA, and MEMMERT products.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• In-depth technical knowledge of listed laboratory equipment brands.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client support.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
