The primary role of the Field Service Engineer (FSE) is to perform services at customer sites, including installation supervision, commissioning, preventive & corrective maintenance, and modification of Gutor UPS systems and batteries. The FSE works on both on- and offshore sites, including nuclear facilities, and maintains direct contact with customers. The FSE acts as the link between the customer and Gutor’s technical and commercial Customer Service teams.

Main Responsibilities

1. Supervise installation and commissioning of Gutor systems, including batteries.
2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS equipment, including batteries.
3. Diagnose and resolve UPS issues at customer sites, and report on these issues.
4. Identify and report failure modes encountered in the field, determining their causes.
5. Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance of Gutor systems.
6. Interact with customers via phone or face-to-face.
7. Represent Gutor in addressing customer concerns.
8. Proactively promote Gutor services and products, including contracts, spare parts, preventive maintenance, modifications, and digital services.
9. Maintain updated records and reports in databases.
10. Ensure safety on-site, preventing endangerment of personnel and property.

Knowledge and Skills Required

1. BS degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or equivalent.
2. 3-5 years of experience in field service (UPS) or similar roles.
3. Strong electronic theory knowledge down to component level / electro-technical education.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of technical discussions with customers.
5. Cultural awareness and adaptability.
6. Proficiency in computer skills.
7. Willingness to travel internationally.
