Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Field Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Abqaiq Plant Maintenance Department.

The Abqaiq Plant Maintenance Department is responsible for the day-to-day operations of processing 5% of the global crude oil production within the Southern Area Gas & Abqaiq Plants Producing admin area.

Your primary role as a Field Rotating Equipment Engineer is to maintain and optimize industrial plants and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain reliable daily operations, minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs, evaluate equipment performance, and recommend improvements and new technologies.
  • Review and update the critical spare parts list and perform cataloguing activities.
  • Handle active maintenance work orders, including ordering materials, shutdown activities, and upgrades.
  • Develop contract scope of work and coordinate with vendors.
  • Review and execute project design packages.
  • Develop and mentor engineers.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • At least 15 years of experience with advanced knowledge in rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of equipment reliability and failure troubleshooting.
  • Professional engineering certifications such as Vibration CAT-III, TapRoot, MLA II, CRL.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas facility design and operation.
  • Experience with pre-commissioning and commissioning techniques.
  • Practical experience in maintenance methods, including gas and steam turbines support and pump inspections.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, deploy technology, and monitor performance to maximize equipment lifespan, availability, and reliability.
  • Awareness of the latest developments in oil and gas process engineering technology.
